Our Local Initiatives

Although there are many Transition Initiatives sprouting up all over Australia, this website is created and managed by those involved in the Tweed Valley and Wollumbin Caldera region. Transition Work is in the beginning phases all around the Caldera bio region. We would like to introduce you to…

Tweed Valley Transition Network:

The Tweed Valley Transition Network is up and running, working in communities throughout the Green Cauldrea, looking Peak Oil and Climate Change and the economic consequences squarely in the eye.

“In combining Transition Towns with what is already transition-workshop-photohappening where you live, knowledge can be deepened, a greater number of people can be ignited to participate, relationships strengthened and new ways of thinking, living and working together discovered and the possibility of greater resilience set in motion.  Our vision for this bioregion is a network of communities transitioning with wit and wisdom, verve and vitality and with insight and inspiration.  I hope to be part of that network and I hope you do too”.
